Trinity Valley School seeks a full-time EdTech Innovation Specialist to join the TVS faculty beginning in the summer of 2025.

The EdTech Innovation Specialist will be primarily responsible for technology integration across all divisions, providing cross-divisional faculty professional development, and supporting teachers in their use of technology on a day-to-day basis, including troubleshooting and training.

As a part of the Academic Technology Team, the EdTech Innovation Specialist works to ensure that Trinity Valley School students are developing mastery in a variety of technology skills and that teachers are supported in their efforts to incorporate technology into their teaching and student learning. The EdTech Innovation Specialist provides support and instruction in digital citizenship, digital well-being, AI and media literacy, mindful use of technology, and technology skills for students. The EdTech Innovation Specialist will also plan and deliver technology orientations for fifth graders, new students, and new faculty and staff, and will work with the Middle and Upper School Student Technology Committees.

The EdTech Innovation Specialist will collaborate with other staff members to lead groups such as the Middle and Upper School Student Technology Committees and the AI Research and Exploration team. This individual will play a key role in the continued development of the school's technology program and will help identify ways to increase the efficacy and usability of technology throughout the school.

At Trinity Valley School, we strive to implement technology thoughtfully and intentionally to enhance student learning through collaboration, creative expression, opportunities for student agency, and the ability to experience places and perspectives that would not be possible without technology. Our teachers leverage technology to differentiate content to match the needs of our students, provide personalized feedback, and create opportunities for students to deepen their learning. It is our goal to create an environment where technology supports creative problem finding and solving, openness to growth and an innovator's mindset to prepare students for a fast-paced world of constant revision and iteration. We place great importance on helping our students develop healthy, functional relationships with technology and finding balance.

TVS faculty and students use Google Workspace for Education, and all teachers have MacBook Airs. Students in grades 5-8 have 1:1 iPads, while Upper School students participate in a BYOD program. Core educational technology platforms include but are not limited to Seesaw, Clever, Canvas, IXL, Membean, Notability, and Canva.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have lower, middle and/or upper school teaching experience, including demonstrated innovative uses of technology in the teaching and learning.
  • Have experience developing training and professional development opportunities for teachers.
  • Have experience in curriculum development and mapping
  • Have experience coaching teachers across disciplines with a variety of comfort levels in technology use
  • Have a working knowledge of available and emerging technologies
  • Have strong working knowledge of Canvas LMS, Clever, Seesaw, Google Workspace for Education, MacOS, and iPadOS. Experience with IXL, Canva, Flint, Notability, and other tools a plus.
  • Be engaged in thoughtfully exploring emerging technologies
  • Fully support the four main objectives of the TVS Mission Statement.
  • Demonstrate thoughtfulness and strategic thinking about the future of education and technology's role in teaching in learning
  • Contribute to creating an environment in which faculty, staff, and students feel safe, valued, appreciated, and respected for who they are.

  • A bachelor's degree, master's degree is desirable. ISTE, Google, and Apple certifications are a plus.
