Educational Technologist
The Browning School seeks an Educational Technologist that will help facilitate innovation at Browning. This person will be responsible for teaching technology classes with a focus on STEM curriculum, and utilize the new Browning makerspace built in 2013. See more at http://tech.browning.edu/. The Educational Technologist will also help faculty integrate technology into their courses. The ideal candidate will be a highly creative thinker that can act as a technology leader at Browning. The Educational Technologist reports to the Director of Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Teach technology courses with a focus on STEM curriculum
Provide faculty, students and staff with guidance using educational technology
Deploy and develop a growing 1:1 Tablet Program
Provide Tech Support to faculty
Provide leadership on the technology committee
Desired Skills
A passion for technology and STEM curriculum.
Bachelor’s and Master’s (preferred) degree
Interest in 3D printing, electronics, hand/power tools, and robotics
Interest in teaching basic programming skills
Interest in teaching media skills (film/video, animation and graphic design)
Interest in teaching Digital and Information Literacy
Demonstrated ability to innovate and problem solve
Experience troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues relevant to the classroom, and STEM education
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
