Educational Technologist, UCLA School of Dentistry
The UCLA School of Dentistry seeks an Educational Technologist to support the needs of faculty and staff. The successful candidate will have three main duties: (1) Establish and implement School of Dentistry's long-term strategy for integration of emerging technologies into teaching and learning; (2) Maintain student information and curriculum data management systems and (3) Administrative support for faculty and staff. Required: Excellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency using a PC or Mac to perform word processing and database management projects with speed and accuracy using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Power Point and Acrobat. Ability to create media to support learning (e.g., visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and online). Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format (usually this is adapting materials from face-to-face to e-learning). Ability to learn and instruct others in the use of new technology solutions and software programs. Skill in developing, editing, and publishing instructional media/videos Ability to search literature and appraise research evidence on instructional technology and health science education.
