Reports To: Chief Technology Officer
Summary: The Educational Technology Coordinator provides targeted instructional technology support to the faculty and staff through delivery of training, mentoring, and innovative instructional design to help deliver our established curriculum promoting student innovation, creativity, efficiency, and engagement.
Essential Functions:

Actively seeks out and plans specific instructional programs, applications, and lesson plans to help teachers integrate technology into the classroom, in collaboration with teachers, librarian, technology, and other instructional staff
Provides guidance to administrators in the selection and management of technology for use in classrooms, with consideration to how it fits into the existing technological ecosystem
Provides workshops and training classes for teachers and students as needed to promote better understanding of the technology available and enhance digital workflow (e.g., Office 365, Google Drive)
Enhances communication between teachers and parents, and teachers and students, through use of class web pages and the teacher portal
Visits classrooms and provides feedback to and mentoring of faculty as they employ instructional technology in the classroom
Supports instructional technology by aiding in administration and delivery of 1:1 and BYOD technology initiatives
Works with teachers and technology staff in the selection of resources that adhere to and communicate copyright as well as other laws and guidelines pertaining to the distribution and ethical use of all resources
Stays abreast and brings awareness of best practices and emerging trends in technology and curriculum integration to the SMH community
Prepares and submits accurate reports as required, including accepting tickets from and logging activity in the SMH support system
Promotes the technology department at Saint Mary’s Hall in a positive way to the community and professional organizations
Works as a team member to complete ongoing projects and tasks
Communicates directly with faculty, staff, and students in a courteous and professional manner
Collaborates with faculty to find effective ways to integrate research strategies, diverse information resources, and technology tools into content-specific curricula
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned
Works in close collaboration with Technology Department and Library staff to provide the highest standard of instructional support
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching or instruction in an academic setting desired
Previous experience in educational technology desired
Requirements:
Excellent customer service
Ability to maintain a friendly, professional manner
Ability to manage simultaneous projects and multiple deadlines
Knowledge of trends in instructional technology, including terminology, concepts, uses, and limitations of technology in an instructional setting
Knowledge and experience with 21st Century learning modalities
Compliance with all Saint Mary’s Hall policies and regulations
Strong time management and organizational skills
Good stewardship of sensitive and confidential information
Physical Requirements:
The ability to lift 30 pounds
The ability to walk across campus
The ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
The ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to other in a group and one-on-one setting
The ability to stand for periods of time
The ability to stoop, bend and reach repetitively
Primarily works in a traditional climate controlled environment
