Educational Technology Specialist
The Hillside School, located in Macungie, PA is seeking a part-time Technology Integration Specialist/Teacher.
Responsibilities:

Instruct students, teachers, staff, and parents
-
Develop whole class instruction for students and teacher training in Assistive Technology, Google Drive, coding, videography, software, internet safety/cyberbullying, etc.

File E-Rate forms and keep on top of deadlines, requirements and legal constraints associated with the E-Rate program
-
Research and evaluate new developments in educational technology particularly for students with language-based learning disabilities

Preview and test hardware, software and websites for possible use at The Hillside School, complete cost analysis for each and purchase

Troubleshoot minor software and hardware issues (when Junction PC is not on site) and assist Junction PC when they have to remote into a computer

Communicate with vendors

Prepare documentation for grant proposals as requested/needed

Maintain technology records and equipment inventory

Create technology budget and maintain detailed records for annual audit

Manage and administer online subscriptions for students (including enrollment, withdrawals, etc.)

Spearhead technology initiatives that support teaching and learning

Provide curriculum assistance regarding device usage, software applications, and the general instructional use of technology in the classroom

Perform related duties as assigned/required
Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred in Educational Technology, Information Technology, or Computer Science

Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology hardware, software, and related web-based or other tools

Demonstrated success working with colleagues to identify instructional needs to enable/enhance student learning

Classroom teaching experience preferred

Fluency and proficiency with Google Apps for Education

Strong organizational, technical, and analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong written and oral communication skills
