Kellman Brown Academy, an accredited Preschool-8th grade Jewish Community Day School in Voorhees, NJ seeks experienced, enthusiastic and confident Ed Tech and Science teachers for the 2017-18 school year. Qualified candidates will be familiar with current best practices and prepared to use cutting-edge tools, content and techniques across the curriculum.  

 

The teacher will:

  • Work closely with teachers to integrate technology into the classroom in meaningful and innovative ways.

  • Review and update overall vision and curriculum for tech integration in the school. 

  • Teach 5th-8th grades science utilizing KBA’s spiraling curriculum and Next Generation Science Standards.

  • Work with students in grades pre-K to 8th grade to develop skills across a variety of technological platforms.

  • Utilize hands-on active learning including lab experiments and lab reports.

  • Prepare students to enter honors high school science classes.

  • Collaborate with other Science and Technology teachers for integration and seamless STEM education.

 

KBA teachers must have:

  • Love of teaching and students of different ages.

  • The ability to work closely and supportively with faculty of all technological skill levels.

  • Deep understanding of internet security and child safety.

  • Comfort with iPad, computer, smartboard, digital media, google platform, and coding.

  • Background in teaching STEM subjects, particularly at the middle school level.

  • Strong communication skills - regular correspondence with families is essential.

 

A Masters level degree in Education is preferred.
