University School seeks a full-time graphic designer to support the school in all areas of design and serve as the lead ambassador for the school’s visual brand.

Major responsibilities include: design, layout, and pre-press production of a variety of marketing and communications vehicles, including direct mail, magazines, brochures, booklets, banners, invitations, and digital and print advertisements; manage usage of the school’s branding by internal and external constituents; and assist in the development of the school’s visual design in print and digital including optimization of user experiences across all media.
 

Qualified candidates should have expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom required); ability to manage projects independently, including conceptual design and meeting deadlines; be an excellent communicator and collaborator; be a skilled writer and a strong proof reader; experienced in photo manipulation and enhancement for design and print; and an understanding of design’s role in user experience, including responsive and interactive design. Experience managing social media feeds and/or working in education or non-profit is a plus. A minimum of two years working as a graphic designer is required. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); be familiar with web content management systems, and have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
