Germantown Academy, located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, is seeking qualified, experienced candidates for the position of Helpdesk Support, beginning June, 2018. This is a 12-month, part-time position.The Academy, founded in 1759, is a non-sectarian, coeducational, college preparatory school of more than 1,100 students in Grades PK-12, located in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia on a campus of 126 acres. Position Purpose:

The primary role of the Help Desk Support person is to support Middle School students participating in the 1:1 tablet program in the 2018-19 school year. He/she will be available to help students that come to the technology office with hardware and software issues.This position is re-evaluated on an annual basis and candidates must be willing to work flexible day-time hours.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students on a variety of hardware and software issues
  • Respond to telephone calls, email and user requests for technical support
  • Document, track and monitor technical issues to ensure a timely resolution
  • Complete help desk tickets as assigned
  • Image computers

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in a related field
  • Two years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some physical work required such as moving hardware
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
