Groton School seeks a motivated self-starter for the position of Information Services Manager in the Alumni Affairs and Development (AA&D) Office. The Information Services Manager will provide leadership and hands-on management of AA&D database systems and related data information.
 

Founded in 1884, Groton School is a coeducational, primarily residential secondary school for eighth through twelfth graders, located forty miles northwest of Boston in Groton, MA.
 
The Information Services Manager is responsible for oversight of the school’s development operations in support of all fundraising and engagement efforts, including fundraising software, data quality, management of gift processing and acknowledgement, financial reconciliation, end-user training, and database report writing. The manager will work closely with members of AA&D on all data-related department activities, including updates, improvements, and policy and protocol to the database system, while providing administrative support to the department. The manager also serves as the development team’s liaison with the Business Office and the technology team.
 
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, full understanding of the capabilities and functions of relational databases, and strong computer skills (working knowledge of Crystal Reports, MS Office, and Raiser’s Edge fundraising software preferred). The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent decisionmaking, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills; effective written and oral communication skills; and the ability to work well within a team and perform calmly under pressure and with deadlines. Experience in a development office is preferred.
