Notre Dame Research is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Program Manager to enhance our ability to do cutting-edge research. Reporting to the Director of Research Security, this new and vital position offers an ambitious professional the opportunity to manage the information security program for the University of Notre Dame secure facilities. In this role, the ISS Program Manager will work in conjunction with security and information technology management and is responsible for the safeguarding of all classified IT systems, IT material, and hardware on the premises; ensuring the security of all unclassified computing resources through proper network security engineering practices and application of National Institute of Science and Technology Publication 800-53 as required by regulation or instruction; meeting all Defensive Security Service (DSS) training and certification requirements as determined by the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and his/her supervisor. The ISS Program Manager will coordinate with DSS industrial security and IT representatives for inspections and reports. This position monitors Notre Dame network security parameters, traffic and users to identify vulnerabilities and loss of protected data. The ability to work both independently and with other campus partners is critical for success in this role. NDR supports professional development through internal and external training, as well as participation in professional organizations.
