Information Tech Specialist
Job Description |
This position is responsible for providing professional technical service, support and maintenance to faculty and staff for all computer, printer, copier, and network related issues. This position is also responsible for providing technical service, support, and maintenance for campus classrooms and computer labs including installation, OS imaging and deployment, software installation, and administration. This position serves as a consultant to users concerning the acquisition of computers, printers, and related peripherals. Perform other duties as assigned. |

Required Educational Qualifications and Field of Study |
Bachelor’s degree preferrably in computer science, engineering, information systems or related area required. An Associate’s degree in related area and five (5) years extensive work experience or seven (7) years extensive work experience may also be substituted in lieu of a degree. |
Required Year(s) and Type of Work Experience |
Three (3) years extensive experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of microcomputers (both PC and Macintosh) and peripherals. Experience should include the installation, service, and support of Windows 7, 8, and 10 as well as Mac OS X 10.5 and higher. |

Experience with installation, service, and support of instructional technology and audio/visual systems preferred. |
