Information Technology Assistant
An educational organization is looking for an experienced IT assistant with expertise and professionalism to deliver premier level support to in-house operations to Brooks Academy District.
The right candidate will have a positive attitude, be customer service-oriented, and be on top of customer's requests and support issues to completion.
Responsibilities include:

Interfacing within an educational environment & managing the sites service requests

Providing desktop support
-
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements in education

Managing IT budget related objectives for cost effectiveness
-
Manage ongoing maintenance, system analysis, troubleshooting, phone, on-site support

Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
-
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Expertise:
-
Implement Active Directory and Local Group policies to enforce security requirements and standards.

Understanding of Windows operating systems: Windows 7, 8&10

Networking: LAN, WAN, WIRELESS
-
Configuring Internet Connectivity: T1, DSL, Cable, Metro Ethernet& OC3

Network Appliances: Firewalls, Routers, Switches and Wireless Access Points

Common Desktop Productivity Applications: MS Office & QuickBooks
Additional Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar field

Reliable Transportation

Valid Driver's License w/ Proof of Insurance

Ability to Pass a Background Check

Experience in an education environment is a plus

Fluency in the English language, Bi-lingual is a plus
