Information Technology Manager
St Charles College is looking to employ a suitably qualified Information Technology Manager on or before the 1st January 2019 to be responsible and accountable for leading the planning, co-ordinating and maintenance of Information Technology at the College. There are general and specific responsibilities including a focus on technology integration within teaching and learning, and seeking optimisation of operations via cost-effective, reliable technology accelerators and solutions.

As with any developing organisation, it is understood that the position offered is dynamic and consequently, over time, there may be significant changes to the initial tasks linked to core responsibilities as the needs of the College change.
A list of Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Manage information technology and computer systems

Management and control of applicable supplier relationships

Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations

Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures

Be accountable for security of data, network access and backup systems

Be part of the project management team responsible for identifying priorities and thereafter implement strategic solutions on time

Audit systems and assess their outcomes

Preserve assets and information security

The implementation and continuous review of WIFI protocols and principles designed toward specific needs of the different areas of the College

Investigate new technologies with the aim of optimising systems all while working within the constraints of budgeted requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

A relevant, recognised qualification
-
Proven working experience as an IT Manager or equivalent, relevant experience

Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems

Expertise in data centre management and data governance

Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
-
A critical view of the impact of technology in learning and teaching
