Information Technology & Media Specialist
Conserve School is looking for an energetic, dedicated, and technologically-savvy individual with an interest in environmental sustainability and education to serve as Conserve School’s primary on-campus technology support.
The Information Technology & Media Specialist is a full-time, 12-month, administrative position.
Applicants must be college graduates (BA or BS), preferably in Computer Science, Instructional Technology, or Computer Information Systems. A demonstrated passion for intellectual pursuits, a record of academic success, and significant information technology experience.
The successful applicant will demonstrate: experience in working with youth, a love of the outdoors, flexibility, a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, positivity, excellent role modeling, perseverance, and readiness to contribute to residential community.
The successful applicant will have certifications and/or prior documented experience with most of the following:
- Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft Servers
- Local-area networks
- Google for Education including domain and gmail administration
- Digital photography
- Working in a school setting
The successful applicant will have strong organizational skills and the ability to learn the tasks necessary to provide on-site day-to-day support for Conserve School’s technological infrastructure in partnership with Conserve School’s technology vendors.
Conserve School employees are self-motivated, team oriented, creative, and organized individuals capable of working hard in residential, outdoor, and academic settings. They have the maturity to contribute as full colleagues with faculty members in the education and guidance of students. Conserve School employees must have a deep interest in working with teenagers.

Salary and Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with experience and industry norms. Meals are provided when students are on campus. Benefits include health insurance, employer contributions to retirement, and access to professional development funds. Other benefits include use of a school laptop, and access to the resources of Conserve School’s 1,200-acre campus, which includes access to eight lakes, more than 15 miles of trails, and a well-equipped recreation center.
Housing
Affordable rental housing is available on-campus, but on-campus housing is not required.
Length of Position
This is a full-time long-term position. It is Conserve School’s hope that the right candidate will remain at Conserve School for many years.
