Information Technology Specialist
Description: The Information Technology Specialist (ITS) at St. Catherine of Siena Academy is responsible for the daily functioning of the school's technology in its administration and educational programs.
Reports to: President
Essential Responsibilities:

Working with teachers and technology staff in the selection of resources that are compatible with the school technology infrastructure

Setting up and maintaining user accounts, develop maintenance and upgrade plans

Scheduling and coordinating network maintenance, including upgrades and process changes

Manage student information system (PowerSchool) and network information, perform system backups and restore data

Managing school domains, Active Directory, Google Classroom and all student/staff Gmail Accounts

Manage TeamViewer, Office 365, Atrium Book Software, anti-virus program and digital sign

Recommending and developing a policy for acceptable use of technology and the school's technology plan

Implementing best practices related to technology use in the school based on research, pilot programs, and state/national/Catholic standards

Managing domain controller, VOIP phone system, UNIFI Access Points

Maintaining and updating servers

Providing support to students, parents, and teachers in use of various software programs and digital resources

Performing basic troubleshooting on school technology, i.e. computers, internet, SIS, and other IT related items.

Recommending and overseeing technology budget for the school community
Qualifications

Degree in Educational Technology preferred with minimum of 2 years technology experience;

Good written and oral communication abilities required

Understanding of the school's mission to educate in the feminine genius and desire to work in a Catholic environment required.
