Minneapolis Community and Technical College is seeking a permanent, full-time Computer Support specialist in the Information Technology Specialist 1 job classification within the Information Technology Services department.

This position exists to provide technical support to students, staff, and faculty in the operation and use of campus computer technology at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. This position also helps maintain campus computer hardware and software. Responsibilities of this entry-level, professional information technology position include supporting IT Help Desk for the campus community to maintain a productive and efficient working environment; supporting, installing and troubleshooting approved software applications and deploying images on computers; performing campus computer hardware installation, configuration and maintenance; providing backup support for VoIP and telecommunications systems to ensure operation and user access; providing backup support for the campus computer usage tracking tool; and performing other duties as assigned. |

Step placement within the salary range for this position is determined on the basis of relevant experience and education and in accordance with the 2015 - 2017 MAPE labor contract.
