Position Summary

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Information Technology Services team seeks qualified candidates for an Information Technology Support Analyst. A successful candidate should be able to work for a schedule that ends at 6PM, Monday through Friday and should be able to lift and move heavy audiovisual items that might weigh as much as 60 lbs. each. The selected candidate will work as a member of our computer service team providing IT services to multiple departments with various technology requirements. The selected candidate will also provide IT and audiovisual services to College events. Because of travel requirements, a valid Arizona driver’s license and access to reliable transportation with an Arizona registration and proper vehicle insurance is required upon the first day of employment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install, configure and maintain both Windows and Mac desktop hardware, software and peripherals; plan and implement maintenance and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot issues with existing equipment including hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain digital signage hardware and software.
  • Provide IT support to SBS computing labs and conference rooms.
  • Provide IT support to SBS off-campus locations.
  • Work independently to provide IT services during the evening shift that ends at 6PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Provide IT and audiovisual support to on-campus and off-campus college events, which includes moving heavy items that might weigh about 60 lbs. each.
  • Implement and monitor computer security and quality assurance procedures.
  • Create and maintain technical documents and user manuals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities  
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to work until 6PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items that weigh about 60 pounds each.*
  • A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation with registration and proper vehicle insurance is required upon employment.
  • Skill in working independently with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience researching, configuring and trouble-shooting computer and audio & video equipment and software on both Windows and Mac platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive work altitude.
  • Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and effectively
  • Skill in providing information technology related customer service to users having varying levels of technical expertise.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Three years of information technology experience in area of assignment which may include system administration, network systems administration, applications design/development, database design/development or administration, web site design/development or administration and workstation/end user support; OR, an Associates degree in Information Technology or related area AND two years of information technology experience in area of assignment which may include system administration, network systems administration, applications design/development, database design/development or administration, web site design/development and workstation/end user support; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing technical support in a University environment.
  • Experience transferring technical skills to individuals with all levels of expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of audiovisual equipment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in support digital signage technology.
