Information Technology Support Associate

Assist clients in using academic technologies, including integrated multimedia, computer, and printer systems, installed in learning environments.

Diagnose equipment problems with academic technology systems in department-supported facilities. Troubleshoot/escalate incidents and follow through until incidents and problems are resolved.

Participate in cross-training exercises with coworkers to ensure all staff in office can provide a basic level of support for the various services managed by the team.

Task assignment and follow-up for a group of students to ensure quality provision of services.

Participate in the development of associated documentation to ensure efficient service provision and support: internal knowledgebase of procedures for common requests/incidents, training guides, manuals, and how-to documents. Participate in individual or group faculty development workshops in response to faculty needs.

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent

A minimum of 1 year professional experience supporting Academic Technologies which includes; demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining academic technologies utilized in teaching and collaboration in both classroom and web based environments. Support includes but not limited to learning management systems and integrated multimedia systems (e.g. Crestron/AMX/Extron-controlled audiovisual systems including elements such as projectors, LCD displays, computers, speakers, scalers, digital signal processors, etc).

Demonstrated knowledge of the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of integrated multimedia systems (e.g. Crestron/AMX/Extron-controlled audiovisual systems including elements such as projectors, LCD displays, computers, speakers, scalers, digital signal processors, etc) or public use computer or printing stations is required.
Preferred Qualifications:

InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist and/or CompTIA A+ certification
