Innovation Lab Director / STEAM Curriculum Coordinator

The person hired for this position will be the lead manager of a newly opened 5,200 square foot Innovation Lab including light and heavy fabrication workshops, classroom space and storage. The space is envisioned as an inclusive, collaborative and multi-disciplined educational environment that will allow students to build creative solutions to problems facing the modern world.
We seek a qualified, fulltime candidate interested in the full, robust realization of this vision. The ideal candidate will embody our Jesuit mission and be an experienced educator with experience in the design process, shop management, community outreach and maintenance who works well with students, faculty and staff and possesses excellent communication skills. Duties also include: leading SLUH’s STEAM curricular efforts including course development as well as collaboration and professional development of teachers seeking to use the space. This person will also teach one course in the related fields of Science, Technology, Math or Art.
