Description of Work |
Position consults with, and supports, faculty during the design, development, and evaluation of distance, blended, web-enhanced, or face-to-face courses. Researches and implements teaching strategies and technology solutions for distance learning and face-to-face instruction. Provides faculty development opportunities and works with college and/or program administrators to ensure the implementation of priorities. Coordinates activities with other University units involved in improving teaching and learning at UNL, supporting distance education and face-to-face instruction, working collaboratively within an instructional team. Minimum Required Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction or related field required. Successful experiences working with learning management systems, interactive web development, and course design and development essential. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, interpersonal and team collaboration skills necessary. Must have knowledge of learning theories and instructional design. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction or related field plus three or more years of experience in a combination of teaching, instructional design, educational technologies, course development, or related areas preferred. Experience within a post-secondary environment desirable. Successful experience with project management, multimedia development, and development in LMS preferred. Knowledge of evidence-based pedagogy and adult learning theories desirable. Skill in design and/or development of multimedia, graphics, audio, and video production desired. |
