Instructional Design & Technology Specialist
Instructional Design & Technology Specialist (four positions available): With a goal of facilitating learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies, the Instructional Design Specialist will support and collaborate to create engaging learning environments. Specific responsibilities include: Create engaging and effective learning activities and compelling course content in collaboration with subject matter experts; apply instructional design theories, practice, and methods; maintain project documentation; analyze and apply trends in learning technologies and instructional design; develop learning objectives, structure learning activities, and create visual aids; write effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts; support Canvas administration and training. Job Requirements Require: Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or relevant field; three years of demonstrated experience in building technologically mediated courses; demonstrated ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; LMS administration experience, including user support; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with faculty, staff, students, and outside contacts; evidence of excellent attendance history. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities listed above may be substituted; experience may be earned concurrently. This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship. Desire: Master’s degree; teaching experience, online, hybrid, or face-to-face. Desired specialties: emerging technologies, project management, advanced-level LMS support.
