Instructional Technology Consultant
Job Summary |
Serve as consultant, information and resource person, and workshop provider for faculty and instructor clients on pedagogically appropriate uses of the full range of current and emerging instructional technologies, including learning management systems, active learning classrooms and supporting technologies, electronic collaboration and social networking, portfolio building technologies, electronic conferencing and virtual environments, distance education, open educational resources, etc. Collaborate in larger initiatives and working groups to support the mission of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning. The emphasis for all activities is on the use of evidence-based best practice and innovative use of instructional technology. |

Required Qualifications |
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/instructional technology or related field and two years of experience in instructional development and/or instructional technology consulting and/or training. Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of Microsoft and Adobe productivity software, web and multimedia technologies, and collaboration and learning management systems. Ability to present to and interact with people in a group, presentation, or workshop setting; ability to interact with people with varying degree of technical knowledge; multiple project coordination skills; strong service orientation; interpersonal and team skills, and problem solving orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Master’s degree; experience in higher education; knowledge of Instructure Canvas learning environment; experience with active learning classrooms and technologies. |
