The mission of the college is to serve as a national model for transforming the health of rural underserved regions through excellence and innovation in nursing education, leadership, research, scholarship and practice. The College of Nursing (CON) is an academic unit within the division of Health Sciences of East Carolina University. The student enrollment is approximately 680 undergraduate, 525 graduate and 30 PhD students. There are approximately 90 faculty and 30 support staff. The CON is located on West campus on 5th street behind the Hospital. |
Job Duties |
The ECU College of Nursing (ECU CON) is recruiting for an instructional technology consultant. The person in this position will help design, plan, and support the media production efforts associated with programs and activities of the CON. In particular, this position will help develop videos and photography for instruction and promotion. The person in this position will work collaboratively with the existing technology support team in video and photo production endeavors. This position reports to the ECU CON IT Director. The Responsibilities of this position include: 2)Contribute to pre- and post- production processes for photo and video media. 3)Document and organize photo and video media for the College of Nursing. |
Minimum Education/Experience |
Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Video Production, Media Studies, or related discipline from an accredited institution and two years of experience in a technology or production related field, or Associates degree in Media Production, Video Production, Media Studies or related discipline with five years of experience in a technology or production related field. |
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation |

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
Master’s degree in Media Production, Video Production, Media Studies, or related discipline. Fives years experience in video or media production including pre and post production processes. Experience with multi-line video editing such as Final Cut or Adobe Premier, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, color correction processes, and Motion or Adobe After Effects. |
