ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

  1. Develops and leads training for staff on the integration of technology in the classroom.
  2. Assists with the infusion of technology into each curricular area.
  3. Provides support to building Technology Integrationists.
  4. Coordinates technology for State testing.
  5. Assists in maintaining Internet access.
  6. Installs new computer workstations and peripheral devices.
  7. Tests, Images, Installs software applications.
  8. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and fixes technology issues for both hardware and software.
  9. Maintains awareness of new technology and potential use.
  10. Assists staff with technology related questions and issues.
  11. Assists in the installation of wiring and cable.
  12. Serves on the Technology Committee; assists in writing the Technology Plans.
  13. Assists the Technology Director in budgeting and requisition processes.
  14. Works with outside sources such as suppliers and technical support.
  15. Prepares reports as required.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree.  Current, valid South Dakota Teaching Certificate. 

 

Experience:  Minimum two years of teaching experience; network, hardware, and software management experience preferred.   

 

Physical Requirements:  Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination.  Frequent walking, keyboarding, speaking, writing, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, stooping, turning and driving.  Some lifting up to 50 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

 

Other Requirements:  Valid, current Driver’s license.  Excellent written and verbal communication, strategic planning, problem solving, organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.  Ability to keep information confidential.

 

Salary:  $50,000 / year
