Instructional Technology & Design Specialist
Position Summary
Serve as instructional technology and instructional design resource for employees and students at all college locations. Provide support to faculty for pedagogy, course design, and learning management system usage.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver employee development training on new and existing instructional technology applications and instructional development processes.
Produce, distribute, and maintain user documents and training materials related to instructional technologies.
Provide technical support and expertise in utilizing instructional technologies to employees.
Establish and support consistent instructional design methodology and pedagogical support for employees.
Collaborate with Learning Commons staff to support student technology training.
Develop, deliver, and coordinate employee training for high quality teaching and learning.
Explore emerging instructional technologies and facilitate the implementation of appropriate technologies.
Develop and maintain expertise in instructional technologies.
Serve as the College’s representative to professional groups within the Wisconsin Technical College System, ensuring coordination of technology resources.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, or related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Two years of teaching experience required. Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of adult learning theory, instructional design, and appropriate use of instructional technologies required.
Demonstrated use of technology and Microsoft Office applications required.
Prior experience in developing classes preferred.
Prior experience with an academic online content management system preferred.
Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
