Instructional Technology Developer
Job Summary |
This position is responsible for the development of curriculum for both web based training and instructor led training for the Indiana Child Welfare Education and Training Partnership. This will include instructional technology designed for both classroom and online training. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Initial and on-going instructional design – able to design, develop, and/or modify curricula content across areas and audiences to reduce duplication of effort and to provide training content that is well integrated over the range of delivery methods (i.e. video-conference, classroom, and web-based training). Ensure that content is vertically aligned and adheres to the basic principles of Bloom’s taxonomy and appropriate adult learning theories Produce and edit video content as appropriate to be included in Instructor-Led Trainings, Computer-Based Trainings and for the purposes of trainer development. Maintain a digital repository of all source video content used in Instructor-Led Trainings, Computer-Based Trainings, and for the purposes of trainer development. Work as part of a team to review existing standardized curriculum to determine appropriateness of modifying curriculum to a web or technology-based delivery approach. Work with Partnership staff to identify classroom technology challenges and find solutions to those challenges. Maintain awareness of new technologies, as well as research and evaluate existing projects based on new educational technologies. The successful candidate should possess the ability to work collaboratively with Partnership management staff and Instructional and Technology Manager, as well as Curriculum and Assessment Specialists and others identified as necessary in the development of technology based training modules. This position must be able to perform the technical tasks required to develop training curriculum that will be delivered through the Internet and other modes of technology. The trainings will be provided to all employees within the Indiana Department of Child Services. Trainings will be of vital importance to ensure that all DCS employees have the latest information on policy and practice issues that impact that safety and well-being of the children and families involved with Indiana’s child welfare system. |

Required Qualifications |
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in instructional systems technology, instructional design, education or media arts and science, plus 3 years of related experience. Combination of experience and education may be accepted at a 2:1 ratio. Must be able to use Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect, Adobe Creative Suite, and other appropriate authoring tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites. Skills/experience with creating Webs site file structures, naming syntax, file repository and knowledge of SCORMand AICC conformance. |

Previous experience with learning management systems. Child Welfare Experience. |

Frequently in a stationary position for long periods of time and keyboarding. Regular moving around the office. Occasional light moving. |
