Instructional Technology Facilitator

The Instructional Technology Facilitator (ITF) position at Washington Episcopal School (WES) is a multi-faceted position. The ITF is responsible for teaching technology classes to elementary grade students, coaching and collaborating with teachers in the implementation of instructional technology, and designing and delivering relevant, engaging, and differentiated professional development in the area of instructional technology.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Provides effective leadership and support for establishing, promoting and sustaining a seamless 
use of 21st Century technology tools and information resources 

• Collaborates with teachers and other instructional staff to determine if and how units and lesson plans can be enhanced with technology integration
• Models the integration of technology in all curriculum areas
• Facilitates school participation in technology programs and activities
• Designs, executes, and evaluates staff development in the area of technology integration

• Evaluates and collaboratively selects digital tools and resources based on professional best practices and relevant data
• Demonstrates fluency with a wide range of digital resources, which support inquiry and student-centered learning, professional best practices, and acquisition of 21st Century skills
• Evaluates the program to ensure that it is up-to-date and relevant, meeting the needs of the school 
community


Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree preferred in the areas of education and educational technology
• Minimum of 3 years of highly successful teaching experience
• Experience with designing, executing, and evaluating professional development in an educational environment
• Highly proficient in the implementation of instructional technology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
