Instructional Technology Specialist
Primary duties include, provide support and training in the effective use of instructional technology tools; collaborate with faculty to ensure the responsible and successful implementation and integration of technology into the Academy’s curriculum; provide one-on-one training and consulting on the use of the Academy’s Learning Management System; create and design training materials and deliver training in the use of new technologies, as well as standard applications and hardware; develop content and contribute to a library of online and printed resources in support of campus technologies; offer guidance, encouragement, and support for the use of educational technology in and out of the classroom; Provide after hours support for academic-oriented activities as needed; in collaboration with ITS Production Services, provide support and training for the video needs of academic programs; Provide training, troubleshooting, and support to all members of the Academy community; assist with the evaluation and installation of audio/visual and instructional technologies;
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and specifications: a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience providing face-to-face technical support and consultation to end-users is preferred; Solid macOS and iOS skills required with Windows experience preferred; excellent organization and interpersonal skills; exceptional customer service orientation; demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple priorities; strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed, resourceful and creative; demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, and to serving the needs of a diverse community. Experience in an academic environment is preferred.
