Instructional Technology Specialist

Instructional Responsibilities:

• Instruct technology classes for 4th-8th grade including an elective of special interest.

• Instruct 5th grade math class.

• Equip teaching staff and students in the use of technology-based learning tools.

• Identify, design, and effectively incorporate technology plans, tools, and programs into the classroom.

• Provide technology support, such as troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware and software.

• Train new staff and students on commonly used classroom applications through one-on-one and small group consultation.

• Assist with audio visual production.

• This position works summer hours as necessary to perform the duties of the job.

Professional Qualifications

• Degree (teaching degree preferred)

• Experience with cloud-based apps (Google Apps preferred)

• Knowledge of coding such as Python, RobotC and web-based video game creation software (opportunity to adopt new coding languages as curriculum is developed)
