The Computing Services central IT department provides services that have strategic impact on university goals. In this position, you are responsible for project management services to implement the Integrated Security Service (ISS) across the university. You will take projects from original concept through final implementation integrating a structured project management methodology. You are accountable for project planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment throughout the project cycle. You will facilitate communications for project teams, sponsors and university constituents. You will also consult and partner with multi-departmental stakeholders, technical managers, and vendors. You may direct/garner technical or staff resources at various stages in the project cycle.
Your core responsibilities include:

Leads and manages the ISS project. Monitors and maintains Project Work Statements, Work Plans and other customer contract documents. Provides status information, such as budgets, progress reports, and executive summaries to manager. Identifies risks and issues that may compromise project performance and communicates information to manager. Searches out new information and analyzes data gathered to assist with recommending a course of action. Responds to customer requests. Creates and maintains project documentation.

Works on Service Management tasks and duties including service ownership, process management, service categorization, and service strategy

Mediates and resolves project team conflicts

Participates in the tactical and strategic planning in support of services that impacts future direction of services within Computing Services

Establishes and maintains appropriate and timely communications with all project/service team members, department managers, customers and IT management throughout life of the project/service.

Performs other duties as assigned
After-hours and on-call rotation as well as weekend work are required. You may be required to be available over holidays.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Business/Business Administration or equivalent combination of training and experience required;

At least 5 years of project management experience required;

Experience with law enforcement technology is desired;

Demonstrated knowledge of legacy, current, and emerging video surveillance technology including camera configurations and tuning preferred;

Prior experience with Genetec or other VMS systems such as Milestone, Nuuo, Verdict, Aimetis, etc.;

Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Security Assessment Certification (or willingness to acquire) preferred;

Excellent problem solving skills; ability to communicate effectively with the campus community; ability to maintain accurate and detailed records; Ability to prioritize work and handle various tasks simultaneously; working knowledge of computer operating systems and common tools including email clients and web browsers.
