IT- Classroom Technology Specialist
Provides technical support for UML computer labs, classrooms and technology. Works with Instructional Technology team to design, install and maintain technical classrooms throughout the UMASS Lowell campus. Responsible for setup and coordination of computer labs, imaging, maintenance and updates. Works closely with South Campus faculty to determine software and hardware needs for curriculum delivery. Provides first line support for all Technology Enhanced classrooms on campus.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field plus 3-5 years experience **Will consider HS Diploma/equivalent and significant experience of 7-9 years in a higher-education environment.
Additional Considerations:

Demonstrated understanding of MAC and PC operating environments

Knowledge of disk imaging, setting automating updates, virus remediation and repair on MAC and PC equipment

Familiarity with Unix platform

Experience with leading and supervising work study and student employees

Familiarity with JAMF administration suite

Ability to install and manage classroom technology, including control systems, projectors, audio systems and lecture capture technology

Thorough understanding of state-of-the-art data, voice, and video technologies

Understanding of ARD deployment applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Macintosh (ACMT) and Microsoft certifications strongly preferred
