IT Director & Computer Teacher
Contra Costa Christian Schools is a preschool through 12th grade private Christian school of just under 300 students in Walnut Creek California. As we seek to prepare students for success in the 21st century, we integrate a 1 to 1 MacBook program in grades 7-12 and host a 25-unit Chrome lab for elementary students. CCCS is seeking an experienced IT director to help us upgrade and maintain our system infrastructure in order to provide a smooth experience for all of our campus needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in a related field
- ACSI or State single subject certification (Must at least meet minimum requirements to obtain an ACSI temporary certification)
- Personal testimony and commitment to a life changing Christian faith.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent classroom management skills and strategies for secondary students
- Demonstration of computer and network management understanding and abilities
Description
The IT Director & Computer Teacher will:
- Report to Head of School and Principal.
- Develop and manage data network and school technology.
- Implement network management tools to ensure optimum functionality.
- Maintain and enforce the appropriate use of technology agreement.
- Prepare and maintain technology budget in collaboration with administration.
- Collaborate with administration to adopt a computer education program for the middle school and high school programs. Teach a limited course load to allow time for IT responsibilities.
- Implement a fair, consistent, and respectful classroom management model.
- Document and communicate student progress.
Salary & Benefits
- 11-month contract includes starting salary around $42,000 to $55,000/year depending on experience and qualifications.
