IT Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: |
The Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) seeks an IT service delivery manager to take the lead of our new campus-wide marketing automation service, manage other existing IT services, and implement effective processes to drive service adoption and excellence across all divisional IT services. The scope of our new marketing automation service is to provide and configure the platforms (primarily Oracle Eloqua), and onboard and support its users. It does not include the work of building marketing campaigns, content, or contacts, but rather winning over and training new users is within the scope of the service. Therefore, the Service Manager must be articulate about, and able to convincingly advocate for, the use and value of modern marketing automation for large enterprises. Our approach to IT services includes outsourcing all services that are not unique to our responsibility for leading the university's lifelong learning impact. Our service manager must therefore excel as a business relationship manager, negotiating with service providers outside of DCS and addressing their "last mile" service delivery challenges within DCS. This calls for effective change management skills and thriving in a wide variety of people relationships across the organization. As a manager, you will be joining a small but rapidly growing team, and you will have a key role in growing its capacity, including immediate hires reporting to you for both marketing automation and data analysis. Reporting to the DCS Director of Outreach Technology, you will have a peer in our CRM Manager who runs our Salesforce operation. Expect a lot of variety and building relationships with a lot of great people who enjoy their work and believe in our lifelong learning mission. Since our IT services do not focus on lower levels of the technology stack, our IT mission is to effectively leverage technology to amplify, accelerate, and make efficient the work of our colleagues to achieve our strategic goals. Our IT Manager will constantly seek to understand and articulate how and where to apply that leverage. |
