Job Summary
Manages the information technology department. Implements and maintains policies and goals that support the organization's IT needs. Ensures proper functioning of the information processing system and oversees necessary upgrades. Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs. (may include Manager, ITIL Service)
Responsibilities
Manages the information technology department. Implements and maintains policies and goals that support the organization's IT needs. Ensures proper functioning of the information processing system and oversees necessary upgrades. Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalency and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferences
-
Preference will be given to candidates with 7 years of IT experience.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience directly managing staff.

Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services across multiple locations and multiple platforms.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation in both physical and cloud environments.

The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including Server and Office, PC hardware and software, as well as Apple hardware and software.

The successful candidate will have proven Customer Service experience

The preferred candidate will have a proven ability in creating and maintaining working relationships across an organization and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms with team members, management, other university departments, and end users.

Preference will be given to candidates that have relevant Microsoft and Apple Certifications.

The successful candidate will have IT experience in a large business operation with budgetary experience.
