IT Network Administrator/Support Technician:

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to communicate technical information and training to non-technical personnel

  • Ongoing desire to learn new technologies

  • Network administration experience

  • Ability to follow and maintain technical documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, and processes.

  • Familiar with remote Troubleshooting methods

  • Experience with network hardware setup and maintenance

  • Experience with computer software and hardware issues

  • Ability to solve practical problems where limited standardization exists and interpret a variety of instruction sets

  • Basic Understanding of Local and Wide Area Networking and services, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Active Directory, Switching technologies

  • Administer/upgrade/troubleshoot DHCP/Print/DNS/AD Windows servers, VPN connections, routers, switches, firewalls, VOIP phones, smartphones, and physical security systems

  • Familiarity with Windows Server and O365

  • Manage Group Policy and User Account creation, security, and auditing

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft domain environment. (Working in active directory for user management)

  • Very proficient with Internet-related applications such as e-mail clients and web browsers

  • PC hardware knowledge (replace memory, repairing PCs, replace hard drives, etc.)

  • Microsoft Windows installation/support/troubleshooting

  • Experience with Microsoft Office installation/support/troubleshooting

  • Be able to troubleshoot and remove viruses/malware from PCs

  • Understand configuring and troubleshooting mobile devices (Android, iOS)

This position also includes teaching basic computer skills to elementary students as well as more advanced computer skills to secondary age students. 

This position is usually pared with teaching another class or subject to make it a full time position.
