IT Project Manager
Manages and oversees all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Creates and manages project plans. Defines project scope, maintains project objectives, goals, and deliverables. Defines project schedule and time line, tasks, and required resources while monitoring progress. Aligns project objectives with company goals, ensures team is clear on objective. Manages resources to make sure schedule is on track. Leads meetings and sets expectations for project team. Helps project team with the design and development tasks. Works multiple project simultaneously.
Monitors production and quality to customer/stakeholder/sponsor standards. Leads Quality Assurance. Monitors and reports on project progress. Presents to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions. Leads process of issue identification and resolution. Identifies issues and risks and offers viable solutions as well as opportunities as they arise.
Implements change practice and monitors change when necessary to meet project outputs. Evaluates and assesses results of the project.
Manages the risk tracking process. Manages all documentation relating to the project. Fosters a partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3 years project management experience. Knowledge of technique and tools; experience in strategic planning, Risk Management, and/or Change Management; proficiency in project management tools; business and IT strategy experience; knowledge of related software tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Agile teams
Certifications/Licenses:
ITIL Foundation Certification : Required within 3 months of hire.
PMP Certification : Project Management Professional Certification preferred
