IT Project Manager
Under the direction of the PMO Manager, the project manager is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, directing and overall management of multiple complex technology based projects. S/He will also be responsible for defining project objectives and developing business cases for proposed projects. In addition to managing projects, s/he will be expected to coach/advise other IT resources acting as project manager for operational projects.
The project manager must be able to assist stakeholders to clarify the business challenge/objectives and set the scope of projects. S/He will also facilitate development of business cases with quantitative information. S/He may perform key business analysis functions or partner with business analysis resources. These activates requires her/him to develop relationships and partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs. S/He will define project approach and deliverables to most efficiently and effectively meet project objectives and stakeholder needs. S/He must be able to lead stakeholders and project team through requirements gathering/solution design deliverables and develop comprehensive project proposal to facilitate governance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of applicable experience in leading/managing IT focused Project Management office functions.
Strong performance utilizing project management methodologies and practices to deliver complex projects on time, and on budget
License and Certifications:
Must currently hold or pass the ITIL V3 Foundation Certification Exam within 6 months of start date
