IT Systems Administrator
We are seeking the services of an enthusiastic, energetic and competent IT Systems Administrator to direct the running, management and general functional well-being of the School’s IT network system.
Main responsibilities:
Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
Operate master consoles in order to monitor the performance of school computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum MCITP qualification and be proficient in use of Apple devices and Mac OSX
A working knowledge of PencilBox and Pastel is preferable
Must be cheerful with a good sense of humour, a self-starter, demonstrate initiative and perseverance, possess good people skills, be willing to tackle the unexpected and prepared to learn new skills if necessary, be able to take direction, be prepared to work flexible hours if the need arises.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualification. This permanent full time position (7.30am – 4.00pm) is available from 1 February 2017, or an earlier date by mutual agreement.
