IT Systems Administrator

Grayson  students are advanced, curious, and eager to learn. We use technology throughout our day with our students and in the administration of our educational program, and we are looking for an individual to help us carry out this important mission. 

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Systems Administrator to join our team. As the lead full-time IT support, this person will be responsible for managing and maintaining technology in the building and ensuring the seamless operation of systems.  This position will be supported by a teacher with part-time IT responsibilities and will play a crucial role in integrating technology into our educational programs.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up, configure, and maintain a Microsoft environment, including Entra, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Manage fleet of iPads, Macs, and Windows devices.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for both PC and Mac systems.
  • Manage the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Ensure data security and backups.
  • Oversee and support internet filtering systems for students, and make recommendations.
  • Install and manage software applications where needed.
  • Support staff and students in their use of technology day-to-day.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Entra, Active Director, and Office 365. 
  • Proficiency in both PC and Mac systems.
  • Experience in networking concepts, systems, and equipment. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • A proactive and customer-oriented approach to IT support.
  • Up-to-date (less than 1 year old) clearances prior to beginning work, including Federal Criminal History, PA State Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, Act 168, and any additional required clearances. 

IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF:

  • You have a Microsoft Systems certification.
  • You have experience working with technology in a school setting or with children.
  • You have configured or maintained internet filtering systems
