Position Description:
The University of Illinois' Technology Services seeks an Information Technology Technical Associate (IT Tech) to provide technical expertise and support for control systems and equipment configurations, video over IP systems, wireless AV transmission and lecture capture. This position will also be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of control systems and software components; providing assistance in the development and assessment of: hardware and software components for Control Systems, video over IP systems, wireless AV transmission and lecture capture. This IT Tech will also recommend optimum equipment and software configurations; and provide technical guidance with regard to proper installation methods, performance standards, security measures, and systems analysis.
Minimum Qualifications (with Specialty Factor):
Two years of progressively responsible IT-related experience that included programming and configuring AMX and Extron control systems; configuring and maintaining AMX SVSI video over IP systems; configuring and maintaining Apple TV & Kramer Via Pro wireless presentation devices; maintaining the Campus Universal System Monitoring (USM) system; and setting up and maintaining Extron SMP series presentation capture devices. Up to one year of experience may be substituted by an Associate's degree or 60 semester hours of IT-related college coursework.
