Oakley House School, an independent remedial school in Cape Town, is seeking the services of a part-time IT Technician for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week from January 2017. The incumbent will be solely responsible for IT across our two campuses, in Plumstead and Diep River, and must have a Code 08 Diver’s Licence and own vehicle.
The suitable candidate will have:
- familiarity with Microsoft A+ and basic Windows Server 2012
- good working knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN/Wi-Fi and Switches
- experience in network communication, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Remote Desktop
- a good understanding of Microsoft products, such as Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 / 10 and Microsoft Office suite 2010 / 2013
- competence in e-mail and internet configuration.
- experience in working with hardware and devices such as desktops, laptops, and network printers and scanners.
- Familiarity with Apple products, and willingness to offer Computer Club, etc. will be an advantage.
