K – 8 Technology Instructor

Denver Christian School has an immediate need for an experienced academic Technology Teacher.  The candidate must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of computers skills, must have experience in designing instruction and technology integration.  This teaching position will be responsible for technology curriculum and programming for Kindergarten through 8th grades.

K-8 Technology Teacher responsibilities include:

• This candidate must profess an active and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ
• Has a passion for integrating their faith into the teaching and learning of their classroom
• Has skills in collaboration, research, and innovation
• Is able to collaborate and communicate effectively with other teachers, parents, school staff, and Extend (support services) education team members
• Designs and presents effective professional development workshops for classroom teachers on professional development day to support project based learning with technology
• Providing standards based (ISTE and Colorado Computer Science) instruction for Kindergarten – 8th grade in a weekly Specials class
• Plans lessons with clear objectives and relevant measurable outcomes * Exposing students to multiple platforms, including MAC and Chrome operating systems
• Collaborate on updating and distributing a Technology Usage Policy for our school
• Teaching digital citizenship

K-8 Technology Teacher: would be beneficial to have knowledge base in school adopted software, including, but not limited to:

• Google (G Suite)
• Reflex Math
• Spelling City
• NWEA Skills Navigator
• MOBY MAX
• Keyboarding Without Tears (kindergarten through 2nd grade)
