Requirements An undergraduate degree with strong proficiency in various software platforms and both PC and Mac systems is required. Prior experience teaching/integrating technology in a K-8 environment and prior experience teaching in an independent school are strongly preferred.

Direct Supervisor: Lower School Head and Middle School Head
Hours/Status: 10-month, full-time exempt, faculty position

The Technology Teacher position at St. Anne's Episcopal School is classified as a teacher position. This person reports to the Lower School Head, the Middle School Head
and/or the Head of School and is responsible for all issues relating technology curriculum creation, enhancement, and teaching. The Technology Teacher is a cross-divisional position that will be supervised and evaluated by both the Lower School Head and the Middle School Head. 

The Technology Teacher's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

--Teach grades 2-5 Technology classes and Middle School Innovations classes

--To develop and regularly update an engaging and innovative curriculum that focuses on developing skills that encourage personal productivity, creativity, critical thinking, coding and collaboration in the classroom and in daily life. To develop benchmarks and standards for student technology proficiency.

--Introduce and support cross-curricular integration of technology at all grade levels.

--Research and evaluate new hardware and software needs to enhance the technology curriculum. Stay up to date on the latest trends in technology.

--Communicate with parents about technology happening in the technology classroom.

--Assist with In-Service trainings for employees and students (Acceptable Use Policy, essential tools, ¡©Network Logon, Google Apps, Web Filter, Classroom Technology, etc.)

--Assist in supporting all divisions and departments in fulfilling their technology needs and goals.

--Assist technology department in videoing major events on campus

--Attend technology conferences to gain new insights into the educational technology field.

--Other duties as assigned.
