Lead Security Analyst

MIN QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree or equivalent and 4 years IT Security related experience. JOB DESCRIPTION: Designs and implements security procedures and controls necessary resources to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of UTMB mission critical information resources. Provides a high level support for the institutional information security program.

Salary Range **

From $90,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually

Specific Job Related Duties **

TheSecurity Analyst works with technical management to architect IT network and security infrastructure services addressing business and compliance requirements with best practices.This position is responsible for adhering to IT general controls and compliance to documented standards. A close working relationship with all areas of Information Services is critical to the success of this position.

Provides technical leadership and best practices design guidance to ensure that UTMB’s network infrastructure equipment is deployed and maintained in a high quality manner. This position assists UTMB by defining the technical direction and framework for service delivery and operational performance of Wide and Local Area Network and security related services. In addition, this position will also lead the design, implementation and maintenance of corporate LAN and WAN infrastructure projects.

Work Schedule **

Monday-Friday (40 hour week)

Preferred Education **

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 6 years of related experience

Preferred License/Certificate **

Cisco CCNP/CCDP/CCIE certification.

Preferred Skill/Competency **

• Strong problem solving and analytic skills as well as the ability to handle urgent and multiple unplanned priorities.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with customers and colleagues at all levels.
• Shares technical knowledge and skills with other team members to develop team members’ capabilities.

Preferred Work Experience **

• Mid-level operational experience with Cisco security devices including ASA and Firepower

• Ability to evaluate and develop firewall and IPS policies

• Experience effectively managing multiple assignments involving competing priorities.

• Develop and communicate recommendations for procedures, technical standards and guidelines.

• Experience designing security solutions
