Purpose of Position |
Leads technology support specialists and other staff as assigned in support and problem resolution for faculty, staff, and student experiencing technical problems with technology resources. Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software problems in a variety of computing and/or audio/video environments. Also assists with regular installation and maintenance of technology resources. |
Primary Responsibilities |
Provides audio/video setup and support for University events, classes and meetings. Provides technical support to clients for the operation of basic hardware and software. Diagnoses various problems with hardware, software, or other technology equipment and repairs or facilitates repair in accordance with standard procedures. Assists clients with the operation of event/classroom/conference room presentation systems. Coordinates with other IT groups (e.g. network systems, information systems) to provide user support relative to PC-based systems and their interaction with central systems. Supervises technical support projects, students, and/or staff. |
