Librarian/Media Specialist

Riverview School seeks a part-time (15 hours/week) Librarian/Media Specialist to work in the ever-evolving information age. The Librarian/Media Specialist will create an environment which empowers students and staff to access a variety of resources. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who recognizes that the library is not defined by a physical space and is committed to integrating 21st century information into learning experiences and the curriculum. The Librarian/Media Specialist should have various technical skills to aid in the discovery, management, delivery, and evaluation of these resources in a digital environment, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others to maximize effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS:
Massachusetts Licensure in Library preferred
Master’s Degree preferred
Related experience (experience in an independent school environment preferred)
Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple demands
Passion for Riverview’s mission and the field of special education
Strong skills with instructional technology
