JOB DUTIES:
- Train classroom teachers and specialists to integrate technology into their lessons in a developmentally appropriate manner
- Train teachers in new applications use in the classroom and for teacher/parent communication, and in the creation of new lessons/units.
- Support teachers during the piloting of technology-based projects.
- Work with grade level teams and specialists to use technology to enhance classroom efficiency and to provide technological accessibility options for students with special needs.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary teacher teams integration of technology across subjects.
- Test out new apps and other forms of technology for teacher use.
- Coordinate the installation of apps onto teacher hardware.
- Responding to teachers’ requests for technology help. Follow up on teacher requests for new technology or technology repairs.
- Ensure applications on student hardware are ready for student use.
- Work with vendors/companies to pilot and test hardware and software for educational use.
- Provide technology equipment set-up for Lower School performances and events
- Photograph, video and otherwise supply digital programming for school video display monitors.
- Attend workshops and visit other schools to learn and bring back innovative uses and ideas for integrating technology in the classroom.
- Respond to parent requests for recommendations of hardware and software to be used at home by students.
- Teaching lower school students/classes
- Curriculum communications to parents
- Write student grade reports
- Roof & Lunch duty
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in cognitive studies, technology education, or a related field

- Two academic years of classroom teaching experience which includes teaching in at least two of the following grade levels: kindergarten, first grade, second grade, of third grade.
- Two academic years of experience using and incorporating technology in the classroom to enhance student learning
- Two academic years of experience working with iPad technology in an educational environment
- One academic year of experience working with the Understanding By Design teaching methodology
- One academic year of experience teaching elementary school children computer programming languages such as Scratch, Blockly, or Hopsotch
- One academic year (working on at least a part-time basis) of teaching adults
- One academic year of experience working with and troubleshooting SMART Board, ENO Board, and Notebook software programs
- Knowledge of Fountas and Pinell Reading Assessment Systems or Teachers College Reading and Writing Program
(One academic year equals 10 months of work)
