Maricopa Community Colleges is undergoing a review of all staff positions and titles, known as a classification and compensation study. This project has been ongoing for quite some time and is coming to a conclusion in the coming months. It is possible that the position you are being hired for could have an official title change as a result of this review. This review does not impact your job duties, who you report to, and has no impact on starting salary. You will receive notice of any change within a few weeks after hire but no later than the end of 1^st quarter 2018. 

$51,468.00 - $61,117.00/annual

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; some evenings and weekends may be required
Summer Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am-6pm

Manages the operation of college computer and networking systems and services including both administrative and instructional applications, including local area networks, storage area networks, systems administration, database administration and IP­ based telecommunications.

30% - Configures, monitors, and maintains network hardware and software to provide connectivity for computers, servers, printers, telephones, copiers, and fax machines for students, faculty, and staff; this includes both wired and wireless access, and multiple vendors' equipment and software
20% - Performs hardware and software upgrades as necessary; manages device configurations and backups to provide failure resolution and disaster recovery capability; manages Internet Protocol v4 addressing, Domain Name System for .edu domain, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol to allocate and distribute IP addresses
10% - Troubleshoots network related incidents as needed; provides support to the Desktop Support team, Systems Administration team, Web team, and Technology Training team
10% - Facilitates new infrastructure installations in existing and new or planned buildings; involved in planning, design, and deployment of structured cabling and network hardware
10% - Designs, installs, tests and documents new networking systems; oversees network change management
10% - Oversees/Supervises infrastructure design and installation for new campus buildings and retrofits
10% - Supervises technicians, collaborates with peers across the district in committees, work teams, and advisory groups to help support the vision and mission of the district

1. A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related work experience or six (6) years experience managing and coordinating the operations of enterprise networking systems
2. Experience coordinating the distribution and installation of computer and networking equipment
3. Experience designing network infrastructures and recommending equipment and utility and services purchases
4. Experience maintaining equipment inventory control through networked utilities
5. Experience providing technical services in the planning, implementation, and configuration of enterprise network equipment, data storage systems, and IP ­based telecommunications systems

1. Five (5) or more years of experience with setting up enterprise level Local Area Network, storage networks, and wireless networks
2. Five (5) or more years of experience with network security including firewall configurations, VPN setup and administration, NAC solutions including client authentication and remediation services, and intrusion detection and prevention services
3. Experience with Cisco Systems Catalyst switching and routing modules
4. Experience with Juniper Networks EX switches, SRX routers, and WLC wireless controllers
5. Experience with IP based communication in support of voice and video, including streaming technologies
6. Background with Microsoft, Linux, and Apple system administration and application networking services
7. Experience with supporting and delivering IT services in a virtual computing environment

May be required to lift up to 50 lbs and crawl through small areas.
