Marketing & Communications Assistant
The Albany Academies are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual interested in working in the marketing and communications area of a prestigious educational institution. This position is entry-level and part of a team in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Responsibilities include assisting with design, development and production of marketing and communications materials such as event programs, invitations, email communications, newsletters and the School magazine. This position will assist in developing a weekly social media strategy for the promotion of the School and help maintain fresh content on the website. In addition, this position will assist with administrative duties as needed within the Office of Institutional Advancement.
A qualified individual will have a strong attention to detail, be highly creative and the ability to generate original and exciting ideas for our marketing and communications strategy.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required; relevant coursework in marketing, communications, and graphic design preferred

1-2 years of demonstrated work experience preferred

Ability to work with a diverse group of people including school-aged children

Strong time-management and organizational skills as well as an attention to detail

Able to multi-task and work flexibly with multiple projects at a time

Excellent communication skills—both writing and speaking

Mastery of Microsoft Office platforms and social media platforms with a working knowledge of social media strategy and reporting tools

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs and Canva

Still photography skills and photo editing skills required

Knowledge of basic video production and editing is a plus

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
