Objective: The Math Teacher will be responsible for co-creating, integrating and instructing across grade levels providing mathematics expertise in the teams’ collaborations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet regularly with grade teams to plan and deliver the curriculum.
Build upon the existing curriculum.
Provide a learning environment that explicitly shares the principles and benefits associated with the skills and activities being taught within curriculum.
Provide a safe and active environment that will benefit each SGS student.
Set and discuss with students the class expectations considered for grading and student evaluation.
Periodically provide each student and her family with feedback regarding individual performance and progress.
Provide a narrative comment for each student at the end of each evaluation period based on clear expectations.
Qualifications:

B.A./B.S. is required.
WA State Teaching Certification, or Master’s Degree is preferred.
A minimum of 2-3 years experience instructing students in a classroom setting is preferred.
